“Jewels of Zambia”

Classic Zambian Safari
11-day Private Safari

Zambia is a landlocked country of rugged terrain and diverse wildlife with outstanding national parks and wild natural areas. On its border with Zimbabwe is the famous Victoria Falls, indigenously called Mosi-oa-Tunya, or “Smoke That Thunders.” Considered a connoisseur’s safari not only because the guiding is superb but also because Zambia offers so many different ways to experience the African bush such as canoeing, fishing, game drives and arguably, the best walking safaris on the continent.

Like our “Jewels of Tanzania” itinerary, the theme of this classic safari highlights the famous places that make Zambia such a superb safari destination.

All itineraries are customized to your particular interests and needs as well as the season of travel and length of time available. The itinerary below is a sample of a classic safari for a first time safari or a seasoned African traveler.

Day 1: Arrival in Livingston, Zambia

You will be met upon arrival at the airport by our representative and transferred to one of the many wonderful lodges, hotels or camps, including a few historic properties. From anywhere here you can access the mighty Zambezi River and Victoria falls. The time of arrival will determine the plan for this first day. You can easily fill your days with options such as a visit to the Rhino Park or many other adrenaline inducing activities like white water rafting, swimming in Devil’s Pool at the edge of the Falls, bungee jumping, or an aerial tour over the falls. It is also a nice place to relax so we have built enough time to do just that!

Day 2 and 3: Livingston, Zambia
